In 1979, Dennis and Leean Anderson were residing with their children north of Los Angeles in Valencia. Dennis was already a mainstay of the seafood industry, having amassed 15 years of experience in various capacities. With Dennis’s urging, the family rented a 1,000 square foot facility inside a commercial complex in Orange CA, and Anderson Seafoods was born. The company quickly purchased two refrigerated vans and the equipment necessary to process fresh seafood.
The beginning was extremely challenging, with both Dennis and Leean working 16 to 20 hour days. With one additional fish cutter and two drivers, the two made sales calls, and processed, packaged and delivered product. Anderson Seafoods quickly became known throughout the food service industry as a hardworking company with a commitment to customer service and quality. To this day, Anderson Seafoods still enjoys the support of customers who were there from the start.
In 1987, having grown to 25 employees and 10 trucks, Anderson Seafoods purchased a 10,000 square foot facility in Anaheim. The freestanding facility was modified to exceptional refrigeration and processing standards, with the majority of after-hours work contributed by the family, which by now included two sons and a brother. The company continued to grow, and expanded capacity in 2000 by purchasing a second adjacent facility.
Anderson Seafoods continues its leadership in the seafood industry, and incorporates cutting-edge technology to provide customers with the finest seafood products available. Our company processes fresh and frozen seafood daily, which is packaged and distributed to leading restaurants and retailers throughout Southern California and Nevada.
